The Relay

The relay is ideal for first timers looking for an introduction to Triathlon. A team of 3 consists of one swimmer, one cyclist and one runner with each team member handing over their timing chip (the baton) at the end of each leg. This means you only have to tackle one of the three legs to a triathlon.

Although the Relay format is a fantastic introduction to triathlon, there will also be experienced athletes battling it out for the win.  Whether you are taking part for the first time, or a regular athlete looking to participate in this team event our event is sure to be one of the highlights in your 2019 sporting calendar.

Free Entry to Thorpe Park

...and if the Triathlon was not exciting enough for you then why not spend the rest of the day in the Theme Park with your loyal supporters!  Thorpe Park is kindly offering FREE entry to the Park during and after the triathlon for all volunteers, athletes and up to TWO spectators per competitor (please note that spectators must arrive before 8.00am).

Don't worry, if you have additional spectators who would like to join you, Thorpe Park are also offering additional spectators of the event entry at a discounted rate of 50% (of the on-the-day entry price)!!  All spectators are welcome to enter the park to spectate the race, but any spectators wishing to purchase the discounted tickets to stay in the park after the event finishes (additional spectators over and above the two free entries per competitor) must return to the main gate between 09:00-10:00 to purchase their reduced tickets.

The Swim Zone3

The Zone3 swim is a one lap 750m course which takes place within Fleet Lake. With good visibility in the water, and some great vantage points for spectators, it offers a fantastic opening leg to the triathlon.

If you need to hire a suit make sure that you check out the Zone3 wetsuit hire.

The Bike Yellow Jersey

The bike is a one lap 21km course for the sprint distance race which heads out of the park onto the surrounding local roads. It is virtually pan flat, so expect some fast times!

The Run

The 5km run consists of two laps for the sprint distance race navigating around the lake on a flat, fully tarmaced path. The final section to the finish line takes competitors right through the centre of Thorpe Park.
